Birdwatching in Galwaysland Park

Galwaysland National park is a one of smallest National park located in 1km from town of Nuwara eliya .This little patch of land is famous for its bird life, which includes 10 Sri Lankan endemics. It also offers the visitor to view wild boar, barking deer and other animals. For the more adventurous visitor this is an ideal place to visit as it can be reached only on a walking trail. Endemic Bird speices spotting the Galwaysland National park Sri Lanka white-eye, Sri Lanka junglefowl, Sri Lanka wood pigeon, Srilankan Swallow , Dull blue flycatcher, Yellow fronted Barbet, Streak Throated Woodpecker , Crimson backed Flameback, Yellow eared bulbul, Black Caped bulbul, Srilankan Scimitar Babbler , Srilanka Whistling Thrush, Srilankan Scaly Thrush.

• Insect repellent, Sunburn lotion etc. are recommended Special dietary requirements should be notified in advance.
• Clients must have good pair of Shoes/boots, leech socks, long sleeve t-shirts and pants… Clients have Binoculars and Camara etc , it would be better
