
Birdwatching in Sinharaja Forest
Sinharaja Rain Forest is One of Important Sri Lanka's tropical lowland rainforest and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Srilanka .Home to over 50% of Sri Lanka's endemic species of mammals and butterflies, species of insects, reptiles, and rare amphibians. Sinharaja has recorded over 120 species of birds as Red Faced Malkoha, Serendib Scope Owlet, Srilankann Frog mouth, Srilankan Chestnut backed owlet ,Ashy headed whistling thrush, white faced starling ,Ceylon Lorikeet, Layard’s parakeet, Jungle & Spur fowl, Sri Lanka Blue magpie, Sri Lanka Grackle, Ceylon , Ceylon Grey hornbill, m Spotted-wing thrush, Brown-capped babbler, Ceylon Hill mynah, R Ledge's flower-pecker amongst many others.

November to April is the best period and July and August also recommended months.

Birdwatching session end at 10 am and 5pm
