Guided Maduruoya National park Half Day Safari

Maduru Oya National Park is one of the National Parks of Sri Lanka. It was designated as a National Park on 9th November 1983. It was established under the Mahaweli development project and also acts as a catchment of the Maduru Oya Reservoir. It is 58,849 hectares.. The Maduru Oya National Park is famous for its Elephant habitat. Other than Elephants there are wild animals such as Leopards, Sloth Bears, Sambhur, Spotted and Barking Deer, Wild Boar and Wild Buffalo it is home for over 100 species birds. Other than that there is a group of Veddas the indigenous people of Sri Lanka lives within the boundaries of Maduru Oya National Park.

• Since this Safari activity is conducted in a National Park, you must follow the rules and regulations there. Our Naturalist guide will provide you with the necessary information and guidance and assist him when needed.
• Be prepared for weather conditions such as heat, wind, and rain.
• If you have equipment such as binoculars and a camera, it is very valuable.
